Devon Band, The Loose Cannons asked us back to photograph them live at the Devon Dub Fest at Bicton Park recently. We’ve photographed them a few times over the years, great band – always enjoyable to watch them play. Peter produced a number of photographs of the band playing live, including a couple 360vr images.
We were commissioned to produce some business portraits for accountants Plunkett Yates for use on their new website. Their office is in Southernhay, Exeter. We produced a few images outside on the lawn outside of their office using a studio light powered by a portable Godox battery. We’ve done this a few times now, Southernhay has some lovely architecture which works well as a background for portraiture. After this, we went back inside and shot a few photographs in a portable studio.
The Marine Hotel Paignton invited us back to produce some new interior photography for use in their new printed marketing and website. We have photographed the Marine Hotel a few times over the years, it’s lovely old building with stunning views across the seafront. As with most hotels, it’s often tricky to find a suitable time where we can have access to hotel rooms to photograph them.
We spent the day recently at Woodside Cottages in Dawlish producing photography for a magazine article. A lovely countryside location, not far from the Exe Estuary. The day started off with dark clouds above, which was worrying as the forecast was for blue skies. Fortunately the clouds cleared and we captured some nice external imagery including an elevated image from over 7m.
We recently produced a set of images of the new Fernworthy Holiday Homes at Cofton Holiday park in Dawlish. These holiday homes have some of the nicest interiors for this type of accommodation that we’ve seen. They each come with a hot tub and stunning views across the holiday park to the hills in the foreground.
We were asked to produce some PR photography for Four Communications recently of the VIP launch of Abercromby House at Millbrook Village. BBC journalist Peter Sissons was there along with Exeter Labour Councillors Lesley Robson & Kate Hannan to open the new apartment building.
Here is a new Caravan Virtual Tour for Oakdown Holiday park in Sidmouth we produced recently of one of their new Cherry Grove homes. The tour features three scenes, the main living areas, master bedroom and outside the holiday home. Each scene is connected via a arrow hotspot and there are a few photo popups of areas out of view like the bedroom TV, small bedroom & shower. We have branded the tour with the Oakdown Holiday Park colours and logos.
Something a little different for me as I don’t usually do this sort of photography. Exeter covers band CHARGE! asked me to produce some photographs of them for use in the magazine The Giglet, and for use on their social media. We setup a studio in Exeter and had a lot fun shooting the images. A number of images were taken, individuals, group, colour and some black and white.
A new set of Business Photographs and a Google Virtual Tour were produced recently for Autocare Services, a garage in Marsh Barton Exeter. We photographed a staff group photo outside the garage, some shots in the reception area and a number of photos of people working in the workshop. The Google tour goes inside the workshop, reception and then outside down the main road.
Here is lovely semi-detached house in Budleigh Salterton that I was commissioned to photography recently by David Rhys & Co. The residence has view to the sea, to make the most of this I used a pole to capture the property from height. Semi-detached properties are often tricky to photograph the exteriors as ideally you don’t want to capture the neighbouring house, so this limits the angles you can achieve. Below you can find some of the images from this photoshoot. More of my property & architectural photography can be found here.
Another photoshoot for Bespoak Furniture & Joinery, this time of a built in bespoke wardrobe. A finely built wardrobe, quite tempted to get one myself. Sadly the interior was full by the time we photographed it, so couldn’t take photos of that. Though it was quite clear to see from the outside the quality of the built. Not long ago we photographed a bespoke Bunk Bed for Bespoak, you can see it on our blog here.
