Clovelly - North Devon

Clovelly is a lovely little fishing village in North Devon, west of Barnstaple. It is built into a cleft in a 400' high cliff. Clovelly is privately owned and has been by the same family since 1738 who do a great job looking after the village. Much effort goes into keeping it in the style of mid C19th, which involves much quality maintenance using traditional materials and craftsmanship.

I much enjoyed my visit to Clovelly, some walk back up to the car park at the top of the hill with all my gear though.... they do have a land rover taxi service that I could have taken, but wanted to capture some more photographs. I spent much time around the harbor, lovely spot to relax after the walk down the hill. I look forward to visiting again soon.
