Restoration of a 1937 school panoramic photograph
Many hours has been spent restoring this school photograph. The photograph had lots of cracks where the image has been creased over time, some where quite big. Also there where lots of small imperfections and areas where the image was taped together. After all the cracks had been filled and the image cleaned up I corrected the levels and sharpened the image a little.
It is quite enjoyable restoring old photographs like this, though it is quite time consuming. While spending time working on the image I can't help myself but wander what these people did over their lifetime. This photograph was taken 74 years ago from the time I wrote this, I doubt any of them would believe I would be sat here today preparing this image with all the technology I have in front of me. So much has happened in the last 74 years !!
