These 360° object spins where commissioned by Starleaf for their internet and video marketing. The interactive product spins are produced from 64 frames and outputted in Flash, QuickTime and jquery (for iOS) files.
The graphical interface on the phone and image on the monitor where added in with Photoshop in post production. With each frame opacity of the gui and image of the woman where reduce from 100% when looking straight at the image to approximately 30% at the last point it can be seen when rotated. This helped to make the Photoshoped image look more natural when spinning.
As iOS (operating system for iPhone, iPad etc...) is getting more and more popular it was important that the images worked on this platform for Starleaf. Jquerry was used for this. This type of interactivity on iOS is quite new and improvement with HTML5 should be developed in the future which I'm looking forward too... watch this space. (written June 2011)
If you are using an apple mobile device the above links will auto dected this an run the jquery images. If not the Flash images will run.
