We were at the IMechE Christmas Lecture recently to photograph the event, which was held in the 400-seat Alumni Auditorium at the University of Exeter. The lecture entitled ‘Thunderbolts and Lightning – Are They Really Frightening?’ by Rhys Phillips, included some fun props including a Van de Graaff generator and a plasma ball.
